1. About the game
    "Battle Mages: Sign of Darkness"- Is an exciting adventure in the world of original Battle Mages game. Four campaigns will emerge you to the times, when the world was still young. You will learn the mysteries of chaos, lead orcs into the battle and feel the treachery of elves. And, of course, you will witness evil to rise the Sign of Darkness over the green hills of Daenmor.

    A mixture or RPG/RTS genres will allow you to build and command armies and to develop your character skills and learn powerful spells. So put on the mageÆs cloak and learn how it feels to be a wizard.

3. Installation/Uninstallation
    To install the demo run Battle_Mages_Sod_demo.exe
    If you need to UNINSTALL the game, click on Uninstall Battle Mages - Sign of Darkness demo from the Buka/Battle Mages - Sign od Darkness demo folder in your program menu.

4. Game setup
    After launching the game, pick Options from the Main menu, then select:
    - Game setup to change specific game settings
    - System to change screen resolution and to to turn on/off additional effects
    - Controls to redefine keys
    - Audio setup to adjust sound and music volume

5. Game controls
5.1 Camera
    Game camera may operate in two modes:

    Attached to the troop (To switch to this mode right-click the troop icon).
    2. Free flight (To switch to this mode press one of the following buttons: W,A,S,D.).

    Hold down Ctrl or mouse wheel to rotate camera.
    You can zoom in/out by rotating the mouse wheel.

    5.2 Giving orders

      LEFT MOUSE BUTTON - select troop;
      RIGHT MOUSE BUTTON
                          On land: walk;
                          On enemy: attack;
                          On your troop: attach camera to the troop.
      LEFT MOUSE BUTTON + Shift - Set a sequence of commands;
      Ctrl + [number] - Store selected group;
      [number] - Recall selected group;
      [number][number] - Go to selected group.

      You can also give orders to your troops by clicking the main interface icons:

        - Stop
        - Attack
        - Walk
        - Guard (increased armor, decreased damage)
        - Berserk (increased damage, decreased armor)

        5.4 Using spells

        1. Left-click the spell icon in the spellbook or quick spells panel to select a spell;
        2. Move the cursor over the land or your troop (or its icon) or enemy troop;
        3. Left-click to cast spell.

      5.5 Hot keys

        'C' - Character screen
        'B' - Player spellbook
        'E' - Repeat last spell
        'I' - Troop inventory (switch between units by pressing TAB)
        'J' - Merge troops (only works if two similar troops are selected)
        'M' - Map
        'N' - Encyclopedia
        'L' - Log
        'P' - Switch between first/third person view
        'Q' - Quests log (click on quest name to see its description)
        'T' - Initiate dialogue with a town (when near one)
        'Y' - Towns list
        F5-F9 - Cast quick spells
        F10 - Cast Magic Spirit spell
